Personal Introduction Before graduating from college I worked in positions as a kitchen aide, receptionist, cashier, bank teller, and desktop support specialist where I provided service to people in a nursing home, a bank, and in retail and office settings.  Since graduation, I have worked in the information technology field and in healthcare and also returned to school to take basic science courses.  I have worked as a K-12 substitute teacher in public schools where I enjoyed working with students.  I love to share my knowledge with others and am inquisitive and love to learn. I have also worked as a library assistant at the Theosophical Society in America where I interacted with patrons, staff, and others which required effective communication and organizational skills along with good people skills.  My responsibilities included assisting with programs and performing other tasks that kept the library functioning. I was also involved with the Order of the Round Table where I collaborated in designing an outdoor activity and adapting a game to help children learn about and connect with nature.  Furthermore, I worked as an intern at Woolman where I worked with students, teachers, interns, and other staff members in a variety of settings which included the classroom, kitchen, and garden.  I co-led a wilderness trip and a food intensive trip and also worked with summer campers which included co-leading garden activities and a wilderness trip.

I was born in Germany and have lived in India and the United States.  This has given me a chance to experience different cultures and people and I welcome the opportunity to do the same in another country.  I am fluent in English, above the intermediate level in Malayalam, and at the beginner level in Spanish.  Things I enjoy include spending time with people, being outdoors, running, going for walks, reading, silence, preparing food, and playing (learning) guitar.
