Personal Introduction
My name is Matthew Johnston and I am interested in the public school job at Anyang (03-16-ESLcafe-FT-AY). I am an experienced ESL teacher looking for a great school to work for in the Seoul area. I recently finished my second year teaching in Korea and am looking forward to another fantastic experience. I have taught students of all ages in both Korea and Taiwan and have found that each age group has its own challenges and rewards. My last job was working primarily with adults and I am eager to work again with younger students.
I spent two years in Taiwan teaching students aged 4-18 and enjoyed it very much. During this time, I did everything from teaching basic grammar and vocabulary lessons to leading students in dramatic productions and summer camp activities. I have many fond memories of this experience.
Teaching English is a difficult job, but it is one that I find tremendously rewarding. I enjoy the challenge of finding the best way to reach students and make learning English as easy and interesting as possible. It is very important to me that my students are making progress and enjoying their lessons, and I am always willing to do whatever is necessary to help them.
I am currently in Korea on a tourist visa and have all the necessary documents for the E-2 Visa. (I'm aware that I will need to go on a visa run). I have attached the documents you requested as well as a reference letter.
