-My focus was in world history and I took classes that covered the Middle East, Latin America, Asia, Europe and many other regions of the world that were important to international trade and or colonization. I also undertook classes in Anthropology to gain a better understanding of how cultures develop over time.

-I decided to finish my Undergraduate Degree while studying abroad in London. I feel that living in another country for study can broaden one’s world view.
-While in the United Kingdom, I am also working with a faculty advisor to complete an independent study on the world trade routes of the British Empire circa 1550.

-The office of the Dean of Arts and Sciences which handles student schedules and advisors.
Administrative Assistant
-I was responsible for assigning faculty advisors to students, assigning students to major areas of study, and communicating with students on behalf of the Dean and the University staff.
* Digital Media and Special Collections, Indiana State University, 2009-2011
-A combined department housing all university archives, special collections and digital collections of historic documents.
Digital Media Technician
-I examined, digitized and photo edited thousands of original documents and images. Other projects included the creation of metadata pages and the organization of several large digital collections of documentation.
* Vigo County Historical Society, Terre Haute, Indiana, 2009-2010
-A museum showcasing a wide collection of documents and artifacts of historical relevance to the State of Indiana.
Care of Collections Internship
-I was responsible for the care of artifacts and documents in the museum’s collection dating as early as 1780. My duties included conservational work on artifacts, research and documentation of items on display.
Personal Introduction
# Language Experiences:
Furthermore, I have studied multiple languages including Spanish and Japanese. I also completed my standard twelve year degree in the United States, where English in the medium of communication. In total I have studied three languages; one from the Germanic family, one from the Italic family, and one language isolate. Each family has very different patterns of inflection, intonation, and syntax. So, I have gained a better understanding of the challenges that language learner face in their acquisition studies.
# Organizational Affairs:
Indiana State University History Club
-Helped organize events for guest campus speakers and day trips to various local historic sites. I also assisted in fund raising efforts to maintain funds for bringing in new speakers each semester.
International Justice Mission
-Assisted the club in organizingand publicizing campus events to raise public awareness of global issues pertaining to human rights.
