- The degree included studying French literature, culture as well as politics. I took up a module in Spanish throughout the 4 years which broadened my interest in languages. Using the skills gained through the first two years studying, I chose to study my year abroad in Paris wanting to experience modern France and find strength in adapting somewhere new and challenging.
Studying at the University of London Institute In Paris (ULIP) improved my French and enhanced my determination for success.

# Professional Qualifications
* TEFL International - August 2008 -Intensive 120 hour course located in Seville, Spain. Course included working with children and adults. Preparing for and running my own classes as well as teaching business English helped increase my time management and responsibilities.
* TEFL Teacher - Dublin Academy (Logrono, Spain) 2009-2010
Teaching English to children and teenagers, ages 4 to 15. Working with children is a pleasure, at times challenging but once a good classroom atmosphere is created teaching becomes very enjoyable. Changing lesson plans last minute to go along with school tests strengthened my teaching abilities.
* TEFL Teacher, Inlingua Academy (Logrono, Spain) 2009-2010
Teaching various classes of adults and children all levels of English and some French. Working with government course (La Fer) and the military. I have also taught Business English as well as Military English. Cambridge Exam preparation for Advanced and First Certificate levels. Confidence and knowledge of language has been built up as well as professionalism and independence of moving abroad.

Initially starting out helping children after school and now using TEFL methods in adult tuition as well as my own methods, it has built up teaching experience, patience and being able to express myself clearly.
* Oxfam bookshop volunteering (Hexham) Summer 2008
Volunteering in the bookshop, working surrounded by books and meeting new people every day was an experience that complemented what I enjoy.
* ShoeZone sales assistant (Hexham) Summer 2008
Full time summer work, remaining calm in a busy and stressful environment. Duties included end of day cashing up and responsible for closing and securing the store.
* 1.2.3 French Boutique (Paris) Jan - May 2008
Part time sales assistant whilst studying in Paris, a new language and a new working environment brought out new ideas and a range of skills to suit various work. Created rapport with clients required an outgoing personality. Other duties included stock management.
* University of Sheffield Union Staff, Bars and Nightclub - Nov 2006- August 2007
Experience at working in a variety of 2 busy bars (Bar One being the busiest student bar in the UK) and working at a popular nightclub which held concerts until 6am. Still currently employed during term time while at Sheffield University.

# Interests and Hobbies
- My main passion is to travel having spent my childhood in China due to my father’s work and moved to many places in Europe including Switzerland. Visiting new places, learning new languages and experiencing new cultures is my inspiration as well as reading. Exploring new literature helps me relax and keeps my mind active.
Having lived in Paris and away from home at 18 has given me a great amount of independence and confidence, also because of my travelling I am keen to learn new things, very willing to meet new people and adaptable to new environments.
I feel I am very empathetic and generous as well as considerate of the people around me.
