Personal Introduction
# About me
- I am a British citizen, and hold a UK degree from The University of Manchester. I am currently working as an English teacher in Israel. My teacher training took place at the David Yellin Teaching College in Jerusalem, as part of a government scheme to introduce mother-tongue English teachers into the Israeli school system. Having done this course in a non-English speaking environment, I feel that I have learned invaluable English teaching skills and techniques. I have been working in the Israeli high school system for about a year and a half, and I continue to develop my skills both formally (in official seminars and lectures) as well as informally (reading books, teacher groups and using TFL and TSL websites). I enjoy reading, and founded a small informal English book club in July 2010, here in Jerusalem. I am keen to teach English in Korea in order to develop my skills, and also to experience teaching in a new context. I am looking forward to experiencing Korean life and to exploring the culture.
# Please note
- Due to religious reasons, I am unable to work on Saturdays. I am a keen and gifted teacher, and I am happy to discuss adjusting pay accordingly, or making up hours with work on other days.
