Personal Introduction # Personal Introduction

My personal interests are theatre, travel, gardening and nature. I am very interested in community development, volunteer work, learning and meditation. I’m creative, dynamic and smart. I think on my feet and can adjust easily to new situations.

As a teacher, I’m very dedicated. I’m a firm believer that we learn best when we are happiest, so my first goal in the classroom is to engage the students positively in the lesson-find what interests them, find what they are comfortable with and make sure they have fun. Secondly, I include all my students in the lesson by considering all the different styles of learning. I use visual, auditory and tactile-kinesthetic stimuli. I love learning about learning and applying new strategies in my classroom. If something doesn’t work, I find a new approach that does work.

Some of my future goals are to complete a Masters in Applied Theatre (Theatre for Development or Drama therapy). In the near future I want to travel and volunteer at orphanages and community development programs around the world.
