I hereby furnish you with the following particulars:
I graduated from the Dower College of Education as a private student in 1987 and, in 1991 completed the Higher Diploma in Education (HDE 4). My major subjects are English First Language, Mathematics, Education, Geography and Remedial Education.
I also completed a Certificate in Primary Mathematics Education and later a Diploma in Mathematics Education at the University of Cambridge, England. This, I completed in 1995. This also includes technological versatility in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
In December 2004, I completed my Bachelor of Education (Honors) Degree in Educational Management and Leadership with credit. This will stand me in good stead should I occupy this position. My majors are Adult Basic Education and Training, Assessment, Curriculum Development, Management and Leadership Perspectives (Organizational Management), Educational Law and Classroom Management. As a results-driven person, I will ensure that all the projects and activities are conducted in accordance with the vision, mission, strategic planning and general policy of the institution.
I do part-time motivational speaking mostly to different youth groups and feel it my duty to make it my mission to empower, amongst others, the students at the institution as much as what my duties will allow me to.
I have the valuable experience of having been a Deputy Head Teacher as well as a Head of Department at different educational institutions. Again, my experience as a leader and manager can be utilized in a positive and assertive manner. It is here, that I mostly performed Human Resource duties which included HR administration, support and development, recruitment, assessment, performance management and labor-related issues.
At present, I am teaching in South Korea and will end my contract at the end of June 2009.(I will have been teaching for two years in Korea, then)
I also aim to embark on studying towards my Masters Degree in TESOL.
