: Autumn 2008
- I was given two weeks teaching experience in a primary school in my locality, where my mother is the principal. I was teaching senior infants, a class of 20 children, where kids are between the age of five and six. This was a very enjoyable experience, where I consider I coped very well with the class. I also helped coach the older students football on their lunch breaks.
* Sligo Athletic Club
: Summer 2010
- I was an athletics coach to young kids from ages 5 to 18 in my local town. This was very rewarding as I was able to give back something to my athletics club and help young athletes to improve and learn from someone who has been involved in the sport for years.

- I have gained invaluable experience working in this public environment working with forty fellow workers. I enjoy dealing with customers and find this has given me confidence speaking and encountering others. I have to take instructions from management but also have to be able to work on my own initiative. I have performed many duties from working on the tills, working on the floor, making orders and many other responsible tasks. I have built up many skills over the years including communication, dealing with problems, time management, and organisational skills.

- This was a very daunting but rewarding experience. There were many challenges faced at first such as a new currency, different cultures and a different work environment. However, over the two months I overcame these hurdles and it certainly contributed to me becoming a more responsible, independent and hard working person. I believe I gained a lot from this experience which I feel will stand to me for life.
