Working History • Graduated from Florida State University in the spring of 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Affairs. Graduated with high honors, Magna Cum Laude, having held a cumulative grade point average of 3.89.
• Awarded with membership to Phi Beta Kappa, the oldest and most prestigious honors society in the United States, in recognition for academic excellence in Liberal Arts and Sciences.
• Attended Florida State’s International Program in Valencia, Spain. Conversed in Spanish on a daily basis, enrolled in several Spanish language and literature courses, and took private lessons. • Served as a Resident Advisor at Osceola Village, a popular off-campus student community for first-year students. As Resident Advisor, acted as an on-site aid for resident students, created and promoted building wide events for 600+ residents, served as a counselor for residents with special needs, performed building maintenance when required, acted as a night patrol, worked as a front desk receptionist, and gave tours of the residence hall to potential residents.
• Opened first company, ABC Vending Company, while still enrolled as an undergraduate at Florida State University. Having little educational background in Business, researched various aspects of general business administration, including incorporation, tax requirements, advertising, marketing, accounting principles, and other areas of interest, and supplemented these inquiries with more focused research on vending. Drafted a business model, took decisive action, and transformed the model into a reality. Personally carried out all aspects of business administration, including, but not limited to, the acquisition of new vending accounts, generating advertisements, creating presentations for potential clients, maintaining mechanical functionality of machines, keeping precise accounting records for all transactions, and maintaining and tracking inventory.
• Attended Cambridge University’s internationally recognized CELTA program at International House of Buenos Aires. Benefited from 120 hours of intensive instruction from expert trainers; six hours of trainer observation, during which CELTA trainers demonstrated their methods in a classroom setting; and six hours of trainer-observed live teaching, during which trainees were able to apply the methods learned from instructors, demonstrate abilities, and fine-tune lessons in response to peer and trainer feedback.
