Subjects covered included reading, writing, speaking, listening, and various other contents (for example Drama, Music, Science). I was involved in lesson planning and resource development for OWP and WEP. I taught and developed lesson plans and resources for one month winter and summer camps.

During my practical teacher training I taught at Ntaba Maria Primary School as an ESL and Life Orientation teacher (age 15 learners). I assumed all responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including recording attendance, assisting students, collaborating with parents and students, assessing students, attending staff meetings, and designing and implementing lesson plans for ESL and Life Orientation (using a communicative and cooperative teaching approach). During my practical I participated in extra- curricular activities. In addition I conducted one on one lessons with students who had special needs and/or learning difficulties.

Sociology tutor. Rhodes University, South Africa. During my final year of my undergraduate degree I was employed as a tutor for two groups of Sociology 1 students. I facilitated learning and provided learning support for my students.
