Working History 1) Sept. 2010 – Aug. 2011 University of Technology English Dept. Dammam, K. S.A. for a new joint Saudi- American company. Our ESL students were graduate Saudi men 22-24 years old basic to intermediate English level- grammar, writing, listening and proper speaking skills.

2) 2010 Gyeonggi English Village Yangpyeong ESL school- Seoul, S. Korea
At English Village the emphasis was on intensive English emersion with children 4-15 years old- ‘power-speaking and listening periods’ in 5 to 8 day intervals leading to an on-stage class performance.

3) 1998 - 2000 Tour Guide & English Instructor in Israel/ Palestine
I worked with international adult and youth groups visiting the various religious sites- Old City of Jerusalem, Hebron, Dead Sea, Galilee and Golan Heights .etc. My specialty is in history, archaeological and all tours were conducted in English. I had also a volunteer position teaching ESL with a local Palestinian elementary school in Al Assyria near Jerusalem called, JEEL AL AMAL (House of Mercy).

4) 1997 – 1998 English Instructor at Japanese English school- NOVA, Kumamoto, Japan
This was largely teaching colloquial English to students of various intermediate levels 15 – 65 years old. Proper pronunciation and confidence building was largely emphasized. I also conducted private English classes with students who were particularly interested in improving their English for traveling abroad.

5) 1992 – 1995 Proyectico Linguistico Xelaju Spanish School & Travel Agency- Guatemala
My job was to create an advertising campaign for the Western European student market to blend their interests in travel with studying Spanish at our school and join our two week- four, country Adventure Tour of Central America: Yucatan Mexico- beach hotel in Cancun, visiting Indian sites of Chitzenitza & Tulum / Belize- Caribbean water sports & national parks /Guatemala ‘s historical Spanish colonial cities of Antigua & Chichicastenango / Nature treks to- crater lakes, volcanoes & caving/ ‘Brilliant’ Mayan classical sites in the jungle- Tikal & Dos Pilas/ Finishing on the pristine eastern Honduran island of Roatan- diving & snorkeling on the world’s second largest barrier reef. All my tours were conducted in both English and Spanish depending upon the student’s comprehension level.

6) 1980 - 1987 European Guest House – San Francisco, California
I was co-founder and manager of America’s number One youth hostel for young international budget travelers. Our guest house could accommodate 185 people a night with an extensive array of activities- sight-seeing tours- around The S.F. Bay Area, Napa Valley, Lake Tahoe, River Rafting, Barb B Q’s and Beach trips.
