Personal Introduction Dear Hiring Manager,
While searching online for an exceptional institution to care for people and utilize my gifts as well as experience, I noticed the advertisement on findateacher.co.kr for an ESL Teacher, and I am certain I would be a great asset to your institution.
It has always been my passion to care for, teach, and counsel people in order to enhance their lives and help them live as productive members of society. From my childhood I have diligently worked towards the dream of becoming a Clinical Counselor and Education Administrator. The evidence permeates through the classes I took in high school, my major in Psychology as an undergraduate at the Ohio State University, my role as an HIV Test Counselor, several years of working as an Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapist, my initiative in establishing a Non-Profit Organization (Mimi4Christ), and teaching in various schools locally and internationally. This dream is near its fulfillment and I am confident that employment with you will bring me even closer to my passion and profession.
I have taught in various schools in the U.S, Ghana and S. Korea, I am keen about providing individual attention to my students, tailoring programs for each child’s unique learning style and developmental stage, while effectively balancing play and academics in a loving setting. As an Applied Behavioral Analysis Therapist for 3 years, I have assumed supervisory roles in the homes of my clients to train and ensure other therapists were working diligently and to the best of their ability. I have created and taught programs for children with autism to improve their behavior and social skills, enhance their learning experiences and further their independent development. Additionally, I have worked with and served various people of the mentally challenged community through service projects sponsored by my Non-Profit Organization. Consequently, I long to teach my students and clients, good values, critical thinking skills, build them socially, academically, emotionally, and spiritually, hence fine tuning them for success.
My experience with Mimi4Christ Organization as founder and CEO for the last 2 1/2years has honed in me excellent administrative skills. We are a family-oriented organization that caters to all age groups but especially the young, disabled, and underprivileged. As founder and C.E.O, I implement programs and events that seek to share the love of Christ by means of caring for and educating all members of our society in basic health, mental wellness, and leading them to live productive lives. We facilitate seasonal camps, seminars on self-esteem, confidence building, leadership skills, abuse recovery, achieving big dreams, and clothing/food/book donation drives amongst other programs. All of this involves public speaking, developing curriculums, staff training, developing procedural guidelines for each event, as well as evaluations for efficacy and grant writing. The fulfillment of caring for others and helping them succeed compels me to give more of myself as a Teacher, ABA Therapist and C.E.O.
In the same way that caring for people, bringing out the best in them, leading and counseling them with integrity is my delight, it is my hope that I can assume this role as ESL Teacher in the lives of the students to foster their independent growth and help them become successful leaders and citizens. Thank you for your careful consideration.

Sincerely,
Miriam J. Osei
