I am currently attending the University of Southern California's MAT@USC program to get a Master's in Teaching TESOL (with a concentration in Adult Education). Previously, I graduated with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. I also have a 120 hour TESOL certification.
Working History
I have about two years of teaching in South Korea. I have taught Kindergarten, Elementary, and Middle school students. Before coming to South Korea I taught swimming lessons.
Personal Introduction
I am not only an English teacher, but I am a Second Language Learner as well. While studying for my undergraduate degree I took 20 credits (4 semesters) of the Korean language. Besides for studying Second Language Acquisition for my Master's Degree, being a second language learner helps me relate to the struggles of my students. I am a very creative person; I constantly look for new methods to promote active and dynamic learning in the classroom. I look forward to hearing from you.
