Personal Introduction
To whom it may concern,
My name is Joseph Flack. I am a 29 year old American male, and I am a seasoned expatriate and English teacher. I have been living in east Asia for over 3 years; first Japan, and then Korea. I have a passion for multiculturalism and travel, and a great fondness of Asian cultures, language, and traditions. I would like to continue working in Korea for up to a few more years, before returning to my home country, the United States, or traveling elsewhere.
I am the co-founder of an English language education website made for Koreans, called EvoEnglish.com, which is still in the development phases. I also co-founded and write for KoreaBlogs.net.
I have a wide range of experience in ESL teaching. I have taught in the public and private sector, including an age range that extends from pre-schoolers to adults.
I speak Japanese and Korean at a non-advanced, but conversational level. Language learning is a hobby of mine that I take great joy in. In the classroom, however, I recognize the strength of a full immersion language education. So I strictly only use and acknowledge English while I am working.
I graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelors degree in Philosophy. Philosophy continues to be a passion and hobby of mine, and I would like to practice it more deeply in the future.
I am currently living in Seoul and am immediately available for work. If your school is looking for an experienced, passionate, caring, and skilled professional English instructor, it would be my pleasure to learn more about your school and any employment opportunities.
