JLS provides¡|
1.Housing;
A furnished apartment close to the school. You'll have the place for yourself. (NO roommates) Aside from furniture and kitchen appliances, amenities include A/C, TV, vacuum, and etc. Teachers with their own housing will be provided with 700,000 won/month as a housing allowance
2.Salary & Severance
A starting salary of 2,300,000 per month for the first year with JLS. One month severance-pay will be awarded upon a successful completion of a one-year contract
3.Vacation;
One-week summer and one-week winter vacation (around end of July and Christmas to New Years) plus all the Korean national holidays (approx. 15 days per year).
4.Airfare;
Teachers are responsible for arranging their own air ticket to Korea. But, they will be reimbursed 1,200,000 won, to be paid in their first paycheck, to cover the cost of the flight. Upon completion of their one-year contract, if the teachers wish to leave JLS, they will be provided with an additional 1,200,000 won in their last paycheck to cover for airfare from Seoul to any location in which the instructor desires. Applicants who are already in Seoul, and need to travel to another country to get their visa re-stamped, will be provided 1,200,000 won to do so.
5. Teaching Hours;
Monday-Friday. 30 hours/week (Max.), Average of 20-25 hours/ week, between 2-10pm
There is no working hour you must stay at the school besides your teaching hours. You can just come in when your class starts and leave after class. However, you need to arrive at least 30 mins. before your class starts.
6. Class
Speaking class for Elementary school students & 10-12 students/class
7. Health Care
50% Health insurance will be covered by JLS.
8. Full use of school computers, to use the internet, do research, prepare for classes, etc.
9. An orientation session to help you adapt to life in Korea, as well as continued support throughout the year. You¡?ll get paid 20,000won/hour during your orientation.
10. A maximum of 30 teaching hours per week. (usually around 20 to 25 hours/week)
11. National Pension of 4.5% for all teachers. Teachers can collect their accumulated pension from the National Pension office when they leave Korea.
