Job Description Camp Overview

1. Challenge Camp
a. Period: July 23 ~ August 20, 2011
- Orientation for teachers : July 23(Sat.), 2011
- 1st session: July 24(Sun.) ~ August 6(Sat.), 2011
- 2nd session: August 7(Sun.) ~ August 20(Sat.), 2011
b. Location: Jeju Tourism College, Jeju Island
c. Participants: Elementary School Students
d. Number of unit members: 12 students
+ 1 Korean assistant counselor + 1 American junior assistant
e. Number of total students: 60 students per session

2. Intensive Camp
a. Period: July 23 ~ August 20, 2011
- Orientation for teachers : July 23(Sat.), 2011
- Camp: July 24(Sun.) ~ August 20(Sat.), 2011
b. Location: Jeju Tourism College, Jeju Island
c. Participants: Elementary School Students in the higher grades ,
d. Number of unit members: 12 students
+ 1 Korean assistant counselor + 1 American junior assistant
e. Number of total students: 60 students
3. Plus Camp
a. Period: July 23 ~ August 20, 2011
- Orientation for teachers : July 23(Sat.), 2011
- Camp: July 24(Sun.) ~ August 20(Sat.), 2011
b. Location: Jeju Tourism College, Jeju Island
c. Participants: Elementary School Students in the higher grades, Middle School Students
d. Number of unit members: 6 students
e. Number of total students: 60 students


Payment : - $2,900 (4 weeks)
- Accommodation and meals provided (during the camp)
Qualification : - 4 year University Degree
- Teaching Experiences
Foreigners need the C4 visa to teach English at the Camp. To get the C4 visa, an original diploma, a certified transcript and a criminal record(attached Apostille) are needed.

Meals and Accommodation
Employer is responsible for meals and accommodation of teachers during orientation and the camp. However, meals and accommodation during the camp will be same as those who participate in the camp.
- Meals : College Cafeteria style
- Accommodation : College Dormitory (2 people in 1 room)

Insurance
Employee should purchase their own insurance before departure from home country.
Job Description
Employee is a unit director, English instructor and camp counselor of 6 to 12 students during the Camp.
1. Employee, as an English instructor, will be provided with the teaching materials necessary to conduct the class. Employee should try his/her best to lead the class and should make an effort to make the English classes enjoyable.
2. Employer, as a camp counselor, should listen to the opinions of the campers to improve the quality of the camp activities. He/she should protect and manage the campers assigned to his/her unit.

Daily job schedule is basically as follows.
- 07:00 checking unit campers’ rooms for roll call
- 07:30-07:50 Morning Exercise with campers
- 07:50 taking unit campers to Cafeteria
- 08:00-08:40 Breakfast / Morning meeting
- 08:40-08:50 checking unit box & preparing the class
- 08:50 moving to unit classroom with campers
- 09:00-12:00 English class / Camp activity
- 12:00 taking unit campers to Cafeteria
- 12:00-13:00 Lunch with unit campers
- 13:00-13:30 Free time
- 13:30-18:00 English class / Club activity / Camp activity
- 18:00 taking unit campers to Cafeteria
- 18:00-19:00 Dinner with unit campers
- 19:00 taking unit campers to the unit classroom
- 19:00-19:30 Evening class
- 19:30-20:00 Staff meeting
- 21:30 roll-call at every room


Duties of camp staff
1. A counselor has to attend pre-orientation for the staffs.
2. A counselor has responsibility for the safety & instruction of the students from the time they are awake to the time they go to sleep.
3. A counselor should prepare for his English classes and unit activities, and he should teach, lead and do the activities with his campers.
And he try hard to help campers enjoy learning English during camp activities.
4. A counselor should listen to the opinions of the campers to improve the quality of camp activities.
5. A counselor must be in his room by midnight during the camp.
6. A counselor should help to prepare and proceed the activities campers do all together.
