MELC (Mapo English Literacy Center; http://elc.mapo.go.kr) is looking for an English instructor. MELC was founded by Mapo-gu and Sogang University Corporation in 2008 and is managed by Sogang Education Group.
Requirements
- A native speaker of English who has a Bachelor's Degree and has at least 1 year of teaching experience
- An enthusiastic team player who loves reading books.
- Applicants must be eligible for E-2 visa (F-4 or F-2 are also acceptable)
Job Descriptions
- DEC 1, 2011~ Nov 30, 2012 (1 year contract)
- Working hours: Mon-Fri (10:00-18:00) (*Teaching hours: 4 hours a day, 80 hours per month)
- Salary: 2,200,000 KRW
- Housing will be provided (single room for a guest at Gonzagahall http://gonzaga.sogang.ac.kr)
- A month salary will be given on completion of 1 year contract.
- Vacation: 15 days (10 fixed days-5 in summer/5 in winter and 5 flexible days).
- Regular insurances and pension will be provided.
- Location of the work place: 2nd floor, 357-8 Dohwa-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul (near ‘Gongduk’ subway station, Line 5)
-Responsibilities: Duties will include instructions for regular classes, administrative duties related to the class, attendance at scheduled instructors' meetings & workshops, and extra-curricular duties as may be assigned by the director.
