The Foreign Language Education Center at Sogang University is hiring full-time instructors to start March of 2012.
Qualifications:
1) Applicants must:
a. be native English speakers from North America, Australia, New Zealand, or the British Isles; or
b. be Korean-English bilingual speakers with qualifications awarded by a recognised English-medium university.
2) Have an undergraduate degree from an accredited College or University. Applicants with a master¡¯s degree or above and previous teaching experience are preferred; however, any enthusiastic, energetic and professional applicants who are committed to upholding the tradition of educational excellence at Sogang University are encouraged to apply.
Conditions:
1) Contract Period: One year (can be extended upon instructor¡¯s outstanding performance and mutual agreement)
2) Hours: minimum 17 lecture hours a week
3) Payment: 1.9~2.4 million won a month + Overtime
4) Housing: 30 million won key money or 200,000 won monthly allowance
5) Vacation: 6 weeks / 2 months unpaid (optional)
6) Medical Insurance: 50% range of Health Insurance Premiums
7) Pension: the university will match your pension according to your salary (Some countries have different regulations. Please see the National Pension Office. )
8) Severance Pay: according to Korean National Laws, the average of 3 months salary upon completion of one year contract
