Dongguk Business School (DBS) at Dongguk University is looking for one full time non-tenure track professor. The details of conditions of the job are as follows:
INSTITUTION
Dongguk University provides a world-class education as one of the top-tier universities in Korea. Founded in 1906, Dongguk University has 13,000 students enrolled in 11 colleges (the Business School being one) and 9 graduate schools as of 2008. Since its inception in 1959 DBS has become one of the largest business schools in Korea. The number of students enrolled in undergraduate and graduate programs exceeds 2,300 taught by 43 faculty members. DBS has also launched a successful MBA program with an international flavor unique in Korea’s higher education market.
POSITION
One full time non-tenure track faculty (Title: Assistant Professor)
(Academics from business related fields who are currently on sabbatical are strongly encouraged to apply)
STARTING DATE
March 1, 2012
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT
One year with the possibility to extend by an additional year or more
RESPONSIBILITIES
Teaching the following undergraduate courses:
• Business English Debate
• Principles of Management
• Other business courses as required by the department
Additional responsibilities in international affairs and/or accreditation will be assigned at the discretion of the department
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or higher degree from an AACSB-accredited institution
• Native English speaker
We will give preference to an applicant with prior teaching experience in Universities
COMPENSATION
• Commensurate with rank and experience
• Health insurance
• For applicants residing outside of Korea, one-way direct airfare to Korea will be compensated
• For applicants residing outside of Korea, Housing support
