Daegu National University of Education has an opening for a English Conversation Instructor for the spring semester starting 27th February. The successful applicant will teach seven 2-hour classes typically over four days per week over two 15-week semesters. Instructors will also be required to teach on teacher training courses during either the summer or winter vacations. Further opportunities teaching on elective and extra-curricular programs are available.
• Starting salary: 1.9M > 2.4M (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
• Vacation program rate: Currently 35,000/hour
• Housing: Dormitory or housing allowance of W450,000/month
• Medical Insurance Payment: Paid by the university
• National Pension: 50% paid by the university
• Airfare: Currently W910,000/year (varies according to government policy)
• Severance: Paid annually by the university
• Professional Development: W500,000/year offered to cover conference attendance etc.
• Contract Period: 12months; renewable.
Preference will be given to applicants currently resident in Korea with a relevant postgraduate degree but those with other TESOL-related qualifications will also be considered.
