Cheongna Dalton School is located in Cheongna International City, conveniently situated in the middle of the two major metropolises – Seoul and Incheon. Our classes are set to start in September of 2011 on a beautiful campus encompassing more than 46,000m2 (495,000 sq ft) with top-notch facilities for intellectual, artistic and athletic pursuits. We are a private, not-for-profit, co-educational day and boarding school for 1,560 students for grades Kindergarten through twelfth. For 2011, we began to accept the admission application for grades K to nine.
In brief, Cheongna Dalton School plans to build and expand on the Dalton Plan developed by Helen Parkhurst in the early 20th century. We are committed to providing an education of excellence that meets student’s interests, abilities, and needs. We will also promote an appreciation for diversity in our community as an integral part of school life. We challenge each student to develop intellectual independence, creativity and curiosity and a sense of responsibility toward others both within the school and in the community at large. We will incorporate world class education to prepare students not only academically, but also as informed, intuitive, and responsible global citizens.
