Korea International School Jeju Campus require Boarding Specialists
Contract period: July 21, 2012 ~ July 20, 2014
Persons dedicated to providing a quality boarding environment to students from grades 4 trough 9 are required from August 2012.
Students are separated into dorms of around 30 students, separated by age and gender. Each dorm has a boarding specialist and the support of two boarding assistants along a team of teaching faculty.
Ideally applicants will have experience working with children of a variety of ages and from a variety of backgrounds. A teaching qualification is not essential for this position.
Responsibilities include:
•having a duty of care,
•ensuring that all boarders are known, needed, cared for and are given the opportunity to shape their environment
•taking the lead on a range of activities in the afternoons, evenings and at weekends
•supervising homework sessions 5 times a week.
•managing a team of assistants and teaching faculty
Duties include:
•4 weekday evenings / nights / mornings per week (4.30 pm to 8.30 am)
•3 after school activities per week (3 pm to 4.30 pm)
•1 full weekend out of every 2
Minimum qualifications
Certified: Bachelor's degree and State certified Teaching license/certificate
Boarding school experience
Non-certified: Bachelor's degree and 2 years boarding school experience
